Here is one upcoming game for 3Ds/Wii/WiiU. I believe it's coming in Fall 2015 (as far as I know, in terms of the N.A version.) It's called: Rodea the Sky Soldier" I can't help but think of Sonic the Hedgehog + flying mechanics (even though I have never played Sonic...oh dear?)

That's because of Yuji Naka's involvement. This game mostly resembles NiGHTS in Dreams, a Sonic Team game.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but was that available for the Sega Saturn and possibly the Wii? Here is another one...that might not be exactly available to us English speaking gamers, but it's nice to know~ Here are some others. Popolocrois and Harvest Moon Crossover
Bravely Second (Bravely Default Sequel)
I now own Popolocrois Story on the PSP lol. I randomly found it in my city among all those PS3 English and Korean games @_@ Now...it's probably too early to hear from that SMT x FE crossover or FE14 right now~ I have time though =p Note: I'm not really endorsing these games, but more aloof since I like throwing news out here about 3DS stuff (...and I don't even own a 3DS XD).

On other news... I'm still waiting for other news. Among Nintendo-published titles, I'm still waiting for Mario Maker. Beyond that, I have no idea what should I be looking for. I'm fine with that right now, since I'm busy with quite a few other games. And then I'll get bored again after a month or so. That's because of Yuji Naka's involvement. This game mostly resembles NiGHTS in Dreams, a Sonic Team game. I've heard of that game but I haven't played it. Correct me if I'm wrong, but was that available for the Sega Saturn and possibly the Wii? Yeah, that's it. That's news to me. Never heard of Popolocrois, and I don't think I'll be interested in Harvest Moon. I don't like the idea of long-term commitment to games before I get around to play them, and that would include most endless management / zookeeping / gardening / life simulation games. This one was announced a year ago. Took them long enough to finally release it. Not interested, on account of it being a Square RPG.

LOL. So I take that you prefer short games, generally speaking? FE isn't short though, but I guess the battles are quite short in of themselves. So you prefer games with an end, huh?
As for Bravely Second, I probably have friends who will try it, but I'm staying out of it. I've invested myself in a lengthier series now *which requires me to continue studying Japanese until I am somewhat competent* =p I bought KH for...some reason *I can't remember*...oh yeah, for the sake of completing KHI, KHII, BBS and ReCoded (which out of that list, I'm certain I'll only be able to tackle KH I and ReCoded at most). I'm not sitting through a string of card-like battle games...XD The long-term commitment to game series is something I'm still learning - it's mostly trial and error. The victim tends to be my wallet and the stuff that sits in my house.

I don't really prefer short games. I just don't like games that are long and without an explicit goal. Falling block puzzles are short and I like them. RPGs are long and I like some of them (and actually, my biggest complaint for most RPGs is that they're too short; I like the ones that can last 50~60 hours). Games without explicit goals (such as a linear story or a completion list) don't have much to say about what goes next; they just tell you to keep playing. For that kind of game, I'd like them to be more action-oriented.
I think that's also a reason why I don't have many commercial RPGs with me. I'd feel cheated if I buy a game only to see it doesn't quite go my way. I can see videos of action and puzzle games online, but I can't go too deep with adventure games and RPGs (even the ones with lighter stories); but that in turn means there's no way for me to know the product I was going to buy.

Woah. That's interesting. So most RPGs are considered too short hmm? I do see what you mean by no explicit goals. If the game is too open ended (in terms of not having a conclusion) or if there is no goal in mind (or destination to go to), that can be frustrating for the player. Hmm...that is a fair point. I try to negate this by watching Let's Plays or walkthroughs to get a sense of the overall goal (which sometimes backfires on me because the the actual gameplay experience). However, if the gameplay gets too grind-y for me, I probably give it a pass (My games consist of 90% JRPGs and 10% other). For me, most RPGs I play can feel like trials. I guess it makes me an oddball because in spite of crazy grinding, if the plot intrigues me, I'll attempt to get through it and usually manage to finish or get close to finishing it. Otherwise, I'll need to rethink how I assess games that are worth buying XD I also like puzzles too,but I haven't played them in ages.

It's not much since the demo was released in March this year (surprise surpise! It's been 9 years in development!) I'm really looking forward to it.
