Dream log, third edition. After looking at the old forum's thread, I decided that a direct port would look weird here. I'll put only the contents here. And I'll make them text-only, since copying formatting requires me to view the source of each one, which takes time and effort. Just plain copy-and-paste is already a lot to do, haha.

I have two bizarre dreams to share. They feel rather... weird.
The first one was in two weeks ago. I dreamt of being in a vertical tower, which consisted of various medical and childcare facilities at different floors. I was with my family, although I was astray from them as I had to go to the toilet. The particular floor I was in was a place for some overhyped kids who lack intelligence to play in. As I entered the toilet, those naughty kids immediately pushed in a late teen girl and slammed the door. The girl showed no sign of resistance, and appeared rather shy. The kids outside demanded that the girl and I roll out under the gap under the toilet partitions in a hugging position. I was about to find a way to escape, but the girl just asked me to cooperate, which I did.
After I went out and got to see the kids, I found to see that the kids were bullying the girl for quie a long time despite she is obviously the oldest one in the group. From that time onwards, I would check her out from time to time as my family would visit the tower anyway. We became fast friends and, given the environment she is in, I soon became someone she could place her trust in.
Until one time, it was time for me to leave permanently. She asked me if we could become lovers, and that shocked me. Despite all the time I spent checking her wellbeing and providing protection, I never thought of her as a lover. I ended up turning her down, saying that I'm not one to take relationships lightly (which also is the real-life reason for me to avoid relationships, but relationships are not a problem to me in real-life since I simply don't run into one, unlike in this dream). She was disappointed, but rather understanding. I thought it was good for us to just bid farewell to each other. She may look soft, but she can manage to live well on her own, just like anyone else I know. Right...?
One year later, I revisited the place. I learned something that's even more shocking: all the time that girl was hiding the fact that she was terminally ill, and has passed away some time after I left. I could have just taken her and she'd be finally seeing light after spending years with those bully kids. But... I turned her down. Because of my own "moral" values. I was left in shock, poundering the correctness of the moral values I have been holding for more than 20 years.
The second dream happened this morning. Some agents offered me, along with several people I know, the chance to visit a deceased relative of mine, who (in real life) passed away 20 years ago and, in terms of earthly life, the same age as me (which means she's supposed to be 20 years older than me). We were puzzled at first, thinking of it as some sort of scam. But, in further thought, typical scammers won't try to target so many people at once. Thus, we took their offer.
We were told to go to some distant island, which the servicers took us to on a small boat that obviously look like unsuitable for such a trip - or so we thought, until we reached the island with an interesting feature: a huge escalator partially immersed in water, large enough to carry small boats. It was after reaching the end of the escalator that we left the boat.
The first thing we see upon reaching tht escalator's top is a huge stone wall with cravings of two mysterious, hooded people. Some sort of sanctuary seems to be behind it - and it was indeed the case when we walked around the wall. It looked like some kind of Taoist memorial hall, with ashes in containers arranged like books in a huge library. The room is at least 5 stories tall, although the ashes are placed in ordinary-height shelves.
The servicers told us to find our relative there and waited for our return. The place was huge, so it took a while - especially that we splited our paths. I decided to follow two children with us, somehow believing that spirits are attracted to them - although that turned out to be wrong. I did find my relative eventually - as the last person in the group to do so. There, she appeared as a "solid" person who is taller than all of us, but otherwise unchanged in appearance. We could talk to her, touch her (although she clips with the shelves, she collides with everything else) and interact as if she is a living person. We learned that she is doing fine and not remembering her accidental death after all the years, and she still treats me like a young child despite we're the same age by appearance. It's rather relieving to have seen her again, and after all those years, I wanted to ask her-
-curses. I woke up.

Somes my dreams can get myself surprised. I had three more memorable dreams.
The first one is rather politically sensitive, so I'd rather not bring it up.
The second one has me playing the role of Mario, and in an underwater section we came across a stray litle Blooper that we decided to rescue. We decided to call him Ika-chan (this name comes from a character that cameoed in Cave Story), and our fight got increasingly violent. We could barely keep Ika-chan from getting astray, and when we finally came to the end, we saw a crazed monster that doesn't assemble anything Mario-related. Just as we started to get the upperhand, a larger monster, seemingly from the same species, swooped in and violently tore the first monster into bloody pieces. And soon we got heavily injured as well, and poor Ika-chan was killed. It's the defeat much more horrible than we'd expect.
The third one was from today's morning. I dreamt of going to an outdoor restaurant wedged between two busy road (imagine the air quality). I was there with my former workmates, intending to celebrate something (which happens more than often in reality, minus the weird location thing). Despite everyone finding the environment weird, we settled down and had our meal anyway.

The dreams in your first message are actually quite interesting, and realistic too, lol. Quite touching too. For the first one, maybe this can change how you view relationships, lol.
Speaking of dreams, I restarted writing them in my old TXT file again since last month. Every interesting dreams will be written in it. Though pretty much every dreams I have are all weird stuff that are very unrealistic that can basically never happen in real life. Recent one was involving my story and ES original character, Pepe, living in a not so far post-apocalyptic future world infested with humans-turned-to-zombies and very few clean humans to save, lol.
Hopefully, just like the old times, I hope to get more lucid dreams.

@nocturnal YL: Hmm...pardon me for saying this, but not only do I agree with Elchi that your dreams are quite vivid and touching, but also they have a sort of cinematic or narrative aspect to them =p
I don't personally keep track of my dreams...I mostly dream about fantasy characters and they are usually about my own characters, and I get the odd and fragmented dream about myself in real life. The last time I had a dream about myself I was carrying four or so ducklings in a box =p and that's as detailed as it'll get. Xd
nocturnal YL (Wed Sep 12, 2012)
More dreams to go, although they're less interesting.
One of them consisted of just a small scene: I was travelling in a train, and found Lucina there. She intended to travel across dimensions since her home world went back to peace. She found herself to be very popular in this world (well of course), but since it doesn't need any physical saving, she will leave soon.
The other one has once again put me in a train. This time, it was part of a huge, world-wide train network that has stops in major cities and sometimes less major ones. I boarded it for some reason, and ended up in Nantes. And thus started my alone-in-foreign-land adventure.

I'm back to post two more dreams~
The first one has me placed in a 2D adventure game that has more fetch quests than fighting. In the game, I have to go to and from different places just to trade items in the right order and even have to backtrack to older dungeons to open previously unaccessible areas, breaking the traditional concept of dungeons in adventure games. It's a somewhat tiring quest, and I have to do it in multiple runs, as there are points where you can only get one out of a few items. There was this wooden house where I have to bring a powerful bomb to the house's owner, and then he will tell me to blast open one of several closed areas. After that, that area will become accessible, but the house itself will be obliterated with its owner leaving for elsewhere and I can't crack open the other closed areas.
This is not how you should make adventure games.
The second one is closely related toa 3DS component called StreetPass Mii Plaza. In my dream, that game has a new mode open. In that mode, I'll be able to pick two characters (each representing one of the puzzles in Puzzle Swap - see below), and those characters will enter an area that looks like a map in New Super Mario Bros U. On that map, I can make the characters move at the cost of 1 Play Coin per step, and every few steps there will be one of the followings: enemies from Find Mii/StreetPass Quest, Mario enemies, single brick blocks, and brick blocks in group of 12 forming a small wall. These can be destroyed by attacking (which, again, will cost Play Coins). Defeating enemies will give a piece of puzzle, destroying groups of blocks will give a hat, and destroying a single brick block will release 3 Play Coins. The objective here is to defeat all enemies. It's very specific for a dream, huh?
Playable characters in this game:
Metroid: Other M - Samus
Mario and Bowser - Bowser
Super Mario Galaxy 2 - Yoshi
The Legend of Zelda - TP Link
Kirby's Dream Land - Kirby
Pikmin - A set of three Pikmin
New Super Mario Bros Wii - Toad
The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time 3D - OoT Link riding Epona
Star Fox 64 3D - Fox
Super Mario 3D Land - Mario
Mario Kart 7 - Peach
Rhythm Heaven Fever - Marshal
Donkey Kong Country Returns - Diddy Kong
PilotWings Resort - N/A
Kid Icarus: Uprising - Pit
Fire Emblem: Awakening - Chrom
Mario Tennis Open - N/A
Kirby's 20th Anniversary - Magolor
Brain Age: Contentration Training - N/A
New Super Mario Bros 2 - Luigi
Yeah.... very specific.
nocturnal YL (Mon Dec 10, 2012)
Alright. Two more.
The first is related to my computer's SSD's recent outage. Not wanting to go computer-less for more than a few days, I decided to go and buy another SSD for myself, and get my OS installed there. Good news that this never actually happened; going without a desktop computer for a month maximum isn't nearly that bad when Internet access is largely intact. And if I really am that dissatisfied, there's also the fact that I have two ordinary hard disks and can use my data backup disk as a temporary system disk if I am that impatient. Or I can take back the one in my family's computer, complete with its own OS and multimedia software - I gave it to them because it has their photos in it.
The second one was related to two things: FE13 and my desire to leave for a foreign land. I was in a futuristic world, living in a community with people that take after the FE13 cast. As it happens, I am the child of Reflet (My Unit). On the day before I take leave for my first full-fledged adventure, I tried to re-check my packings while my best-tactician-ever mother continues to helpfully (actually being helpful; not sarcasm) point out things I may have missed. To make travelling easier, she timed my departure so that I can take leave at around the same time as Myriel, who also has to leave for her own reasons. She's much friendlier than a few years ago during a certain war, when she would use theories to support every single action she made.
Having no travelling experience myself, I had to start to do everything on my own - starting with going to the transporter myself. It works like halfway between the real-world train and planes - it's simple to book, yet it's expensive and you have to reserve in advance. As it turned out, I couldn't get past the gate because of some system error. Myriel still had to go, so I'm left with no travelling partner - although it doesn't really matter.
And eventually, I made it through. Now I'm in an unknown land, with no way to get accomodation (you know how expensive it is to find a hotel room without booking in advance). And thus started my next master plan: find someone who may need help, and pretend to fall unconcious. That person may help me if I'm lucky...
nocturnal YL (Wed Dec 12, 2012)
In the two days right after my last post, I had 6 more unusual dreams (the first day had 4, the second day had 2 more). Due to my upcming exams and the fact that I don't have stable computers with me right now, I'll save the details for a later post. I'll just put summaries here, lest I eventually forget about them.
Dream 1: Overseeing someone's dead in a maze-like tomb, getting ejected out of it and chased by the owner's pet crocodile.
Dream 2: Kirby pays a visit but accidentally getting blown out, and I had to use anti-gravity wrapping materials to wrap a GameCube to make a balloon, and use that to rescue Kirby.
Dream 3: I have to find different parts to turn a rocket shell to a fully functioning rocket, and meanwhile I have to overcome wild animal enemies and groups of spiders taking advange of my arachnophobia. I later had to use the finished rocket regularly.
Dream 4: Typing messages "remotely" over a fish tank with an optical-sensor-equipped keyboard underneath it, while attracting attention of the piranha fish inside.
Dream 5: My pals and I walked in an unusually empty, white, cylindrical building with a few game shop in it for a few days, and I bought multiple copies of FF and RE games with speculation in mind, hoping to earn from reselling it. Interestingly, this one kind of reflected what happened after I woke up.
Dream 6: Playing a sport game compilation with a very expanded SSB cast in it. Not only the main characters, but also minior enemies are playable.
nocturnal YL (Wed Jan 02, 2013)
Alright, I'm back with the first set of dreams of the year. They're not the best of dreams, so to say.
The dream began with me waking up in a ship. The ship is set for travelling across several attraction in a large, (for some reason) Taiwanese marine park that consists of several islands hosting attractions. I didn't know how long have I been sleeping, but I knew why I was here: I went astray from the rest of my group for some of the attractions that none of the rest of the group was interested in (something I wouldn't do in reality). Not knowing how long have I been sleeping, it's very possible that they have already left without me. Well, whatever.
The ship stopped at an under-water-level theatre, which is basically just a very cold, otherwise ordinary, theatre. Why is it even there is mysterious. I went in anyway, wanting to see for myself what is it really about. The place was as cold as an ice sculpture show and very slippery, and I found it very baffling for the park to build a theatre like this. Unsatisfied, I left without watching anything.
The next stop was more sensible: an above-sea-level show ground, hosting just ordinary live shows with sea creatures. I decided against watching it again, because this time it's too ordinary. What was I looking for, anyway, if one attraction was too outlandish and the other was too boring? I boarded the ship again, heading to the exit of the park.
So, with a rather boring end, the first dream ended. The second dream was much more bizarre.
I was heading home. Rather than the tall residential building I knew and loved, I saw the same building... with one side of it charred. The building next to mine had a corner of it chopped off, as if some gigantic monster passed by the area. That building had the affected units rendered completely non-inhabitable. The building I lived in was better, with just part of it appear black on the outside, and the inside had several slash marks that was visible across all floors, with part of the floor appear slightly bended. It was estimated that this particular building was not in immediate danger, but we had to evacuate within a few days. But before we could find new places to move to, we had to live in there, looking at the distorted walls and the floor as if they were to fall apart any time. I gathered the things I deem important to me. I got the usual financial records, ID documents, and since there was time before my home would literally fall apart, I braved to my almost-destroyed room to dismount my computer's hard drive with more than a decade's worth of personal files. And I was lying in another corner, unable to sleep because of all the implication of the destruction.
The above two dreams were remixes of what I previously had. Before those, there were several dreams of theme parks, island travel, and having alternative versions of my home area (but not the building I live in). Also, one of the affected areas of my second dream included the very bed I was sleeping on.
And now, full version of the older dreams.
Dream 1: Overseeing someone's dead in a maze-like tomb, getting ejected out of it and chased by the owner's pet crocodile.
It was near the end of an old, rich man. While his children were disputing over his legacy, the old man silently moved himself to a strange indoor structure: a bright yellow, several stories tall, gold-decorated, sphinx-like portable maze, all fitted in a huge room in a maze-like office building. While the children were disputing, the man's servant requested me to stay by the man, and announce his death once that happens. Strange request, but I took it.
I entered the maze. Once inside, I was fascinated with what I saw: A square room with several mezzanines hanging around the edges of the box. Between the man's dying body and the entrance was a huge fish tank with lots of features in it: mini-castles (that looked elaborate; I'm sure they are actually mini-mazes as well), lots of seaweed, and even another tank hanging from the ceiling, immersed in the water, that housed its own bluish (hopefully harmless) liquid for no apparent reason.
I went around and got to the old man. I held his hands, but otherwise there was no exchange. a while later, he died.
The very moment that happened, the main entrance shut itself up (which makes this tomb more secure than a certain sacred temple), and suddenly, the owner's dwarf crocodile came out from under his bed, and it started to chase me all around. I escaped to the top mezzanine floor, and even then the crocodile didn't stop chasing me. When I went to right above the entrance, a revolving wall mechanism ejected me. Safe at last! ...not. It seemed that the crocodile managed to come out as well. I was panicked and tried to run for a while, and eventually I ran into the man's children, who were all now very panicked as well. The crocodile was eventually captured.
Dream 2: Kirby pays a visit but accidentally getting blown out, and I had to use anti-gravity wrapping materials to wrap a GameCube to make a balloon, and use that to rescue Kirby.
I was living in a tall place, and outside the window was a grand, awesome view.
For some reason, overpowered gaming hero Kirby was paying a visit. It was in a particularly windy day, and somewhere during the visit a particularly strong gust blew Kirby away. To rescue him, we reached for a roll of anti-gravity thread, which when wrapped with something acts like a balloon. We used a GameCube for that purpose, and flew it like a kite to catch on Kirby. It was a rather difficult task, with the strong wind that makes both seeing straight and controlling the GameCube-kite difficult. Why didn't anyone think of the more sensible plan to summon the warp star instead remained a mystery.
Dream 3: I have to find different parts to turn a rocket shell to a fully functioning rocket, and meanwhile I have to overcome wild animal enemies and groups of spiders taking advange of my arachnophobia. I later had to use the finished rocket regularly.
I was left astray in a planet for some reason. One day, I luckily found a rocket shell, complete with a manual in it. Using that rocket shell, I had to find appropriate parts for the rocket so that it will at least propagate properly. Since then, I looked everywhere around to find the parts needed for the rocket. While the adventure wasn't especially dangerous, sometimes when I come back, hostile animals would be guarding my rocket. Unlike a certain similarly-situated guy, I didn't have anyone to help me, so it's all my own fighting. To make things worse, sometimes I'll come back finding a spider silk-wrapped rocket shell. I swaer they did that on purpose.
After countless fights and rocket burning (how else do I clear the flammable spider silk without touching any of it?), I finally completed that thing. It had better serve me well...
Somehow, I actually managed to go back to civilization. Since then, the small rocket was modified several times, and had become my personal mode of transportation. With the ability to fly, I was often entasked by my companions to either go ahead and prepare things, relay messages or get a view from above.
Dream 4: Typing messages "remotely" over a fish tank with an optical-sensor-equipped keyboard underneath it, while attracting attention of the piranha fish inside.
There was this fish tank, located in the same building as the one in the first dream. Under the fish tank was the printing of a keyboard layout, and it seems that I can type by tapping the fish tank itself to send text to a phone connected to it. It's an amazng design, as it will sense my input by comparing the positions of my fingers and eyes, and no matter where do I stand, I can type in this fashion. I tried to use that to text my father, although the message was never sent because...
While fascinating, the fact that it's a world where animals are vicious still stands. The fish, as it turns out, are piranha fish that love eating flesh, and I was only a thin glass away from being attacked. Alright then, I'll leave before any real trouble comes.
I was in a cylindrical, white building with a diameter of 30m and a pool of water in the center. I was on ground floor, and before me are a stairway that leads to a slightly higher path and a small game store. I was with my pals, and we went into that game store. There, I got myself several copies of Resident Evil main series games, intending to sell them later when some of the games are getting scarce. Later on, we went to another game store upstairs, doing the same to several Final Fantasy games. People called me crazy, but we'll see. Do you know how much does it take to buy a copy of Fire Emblem 5 now?
Dream 6: Playing a sport game compilation with a very expanded SSB cast in it. Not only the main characters, but also minior enemies are playable.
There was this sports game - not unlike Mario Sports Mix - with a cast "from the expanded Super Smash Bros universe." It's the biggest cast I've ever seen - you can use almost anyone you can think of, as long as they come from a universe featured in Smash Bros. So now I can finally make a basketball match between Simirror and Count Bleck and a Hylian soldier and a Zinger.
nocturnal YL (Sun Jan 13, 2013)
- Self-made backstory of Serge (NA name: Cherche) from FE13.
Ugh.... Actually, I forgot about this.
It has to do with her final moments in the future, telling her wyvern Minerva to go to her son to tell of her demise.
...That's all I can remember.
- After reading about Venice, I dreamt of living in a flooded Hong Kong. Rather than fighting against the water, we decided to make everything work underwater.
Hong Kong has flooded! And it's not only the busy areas or the northern parts (they get flooded rather often), it's the whole city. Most people consider this an inconvenience, but for us, it's a big welcome. We had the resources to make diving suits for everyone, and we basically insulated everything so that underwater use of electronic goods is A-OK. Power sockets are redesigned, and our diving suits have built-in communication systems that enable us to talk normally. And we welcome this change, because we're a crowded city. Being underwater means we gain an extra dimention to move in.
We still can't cook or eat underwater though. All restaurants are located above water.
- Prequel to the above dream. We went through extremely heavy rain, and I was walking to a McDonald's near my home. Covered pedestrain didn't protect me from the rain.
One day, when I got up, the street was in heavy rain. The rain poured so heavily that my original plan to go outside ended up as a splint to a McDonald's nearby. Once I got in, the rain didn't stop, but rather, I saw the water level kept rising. Everyone inside ran out to see how everything was immersed into water. It's a horrible, yet fresh, experience.
nocturnal YL (Sat Feb 02, 2013)
Two more new dreams today:
- Being chased by a group and did my first kill
I was with a few of my companions, and we were chased by a violence group. The chase went through lots of places, from crowded restaurants to uphill roads. Somewhere during the chase, I got the command to ourun everyone to distract them, and kill them from there. When I rant out and reached an uphill road, I found that a few killers followed suit, including a particularly fast little girl that can't do serious damage. That girl kept provoking me, though, and her partners kept keeping up. In a rather bizarre decision, I grabbed her and threw her off the road, and she immediately got ran over by a truck and died. We ended upsuccessfully finishing the rest of the killers, but I have been thinking if I could handle the situation better, like a certain king who expressedly wished to help the assassin after his life.
- Reading fiction
I was visitng an old-fashioned library, and read a huge, old-fashioned novel there. It was interesting in that it alternated between text and manga, providing visual depictions of the world's settings that most novels do not give. It's written in Japanese, and is clearly not an actual old book.
The story goes with the adventures of two young girls, who were stranded to a land and had to go through a lot of things in their lives. They had to find clues about their whereabout, take jobs to earn money, and occasionally had to fend off monsters (hey, it's fiction). At the end, they finally gained enough knowledge about leaving the place (basically, they're inside an island in a heavily fogged area), but by that time they were being worshipped as national heroes (doing so much fighting does have its reward), and so they decided to just stay there.
nocturnal YL (Sun Feb 17, 2013)
In a snowy day, Cynthia, Kjelle and Severa found a pipe-like thing lying around the snow-covered ground and decided to investigate. Nah went behind them and got the feeling that it's a trap, but she was too late to stop them. She decided to go after them, just in case something went wrong.
Went wrong it did, as it was a trap meant to kidnap anyone who would go in. That pipe would lead to an underground room, and the trapdoor made sure their trip to investigate this trap would be a one-way trip. Nah also displayed some unusualk behaviour - she grew up at a rather quick pace, and ended up looking older than the rest of the group.
Some days later, when a group of people came to take the kidnapped ones away, Nah found a chance to transform. This, reasonably, scared the kidnappers away, and they were safe at last.
Since that incident, no one treated Nah like a child again.
nocturnal YL (Thu Feb 21, 2013)
Fresh news: I fell asleep for a few hours and had a long, 8-scene dream that took 3 hours to render.
The dream began with me walking through a sports ground at the foot of the hill where my home is located in. I found a rather large red-eared slider under a bench. I thought about getting it, but later decided against it. After getting to a quarter of walking uphill to my home, I changed my mind again. I ended up walking downhills, grabbed the turtle, and went home.
After reaching home, I showed the turtle to my family, and we decided to keep it. This turtle looked rather weak, especially when compared to an existing pet turtle of a different species we have at home. The turtle got us rather concerned, but we believed anything would be a better decision than to just leave it lying on public ground, especially since most people aren't very kind. We then shifted our attention a bit to our fish tank, which appears a bit green-ish thanks to all the moss in it. I asked my father to change water for it, but he replied "not green enough."
I had to then leave home for a reunion with some acquantances of mine. (The details of that reunion were skipped altogether in the dream.)
After that, I went on my way to a nearby train station to get home. I saw an old friend who I once fell for on the way, so we talked a little. I even followed her aboard the bus she was to take, just to extend the talk a bit.
Eventually, we drifted to talk about whether I could help her to matchmake (*If said old friend actually sees this, no offense to your current relationship. Somehow, you have the personality of some other friend of mine in that dream...), which I agreed. We talked on a lot of other stuff too, and I eventually had to got off the bus and proceed to my alternate way home.
I went into the train station. I thought I've seen everything in the day, but now there's something new again. The train station's gates broke, and I had to wait for a bit until their staff hurriedly fixed one of them just to let me in. It was already very late at night, so very few people were still around.
Before finally going home, I went to a KFC outlet to see what do they have for promotion. What I saw surprised me: A huge rice disk that's large enough for two people, and a choice of getting 2, 4 or 6 pieces of chicken with it, plus soup and drink. There are actually a few people there, some would buy the meal, took photos of them and then proceed to eat it (in groups of two, so there's nothing too surprising there). I decided against buying that massive thing myself, but it's still a surprise. Their rice is usually of tiny portions, typically 180 grams. According to their night-shift staff, "today" (which was a Monday, by the way) was the last day of promotion of this meal.
Then I finally hit home. Last discovery: some of my fraternal relatives were there, completely ignoring the fact that it was 1 a.m. I hid my pets away before they even ask about anything. Don't want their curiousity to disturb them or anything.
So that's it. First dream in a while not to involve any video games at all.
nocturnal YL (Thu Feb 21, 2013)
Slept again. Just had another dream, played in first person for extra horror.
There was a fictitious child whose family have just went abroad, and was very worried during his time staying with his relatives. During his parents' trip, he'd go to complicated playpens (featured in older dreams, except with some extra facilities added in a set of tall buildings nearby) and look after his younger relatives. But all the time he couldn't get rid of the feelings that something bad happened.
By the time his parents were back, they were back with a pair of pet snakes, who would take over the original fish tank, and the fish will be put into small, plastic cups. But that's not the bad part at all. The nighemare: his baby brother seemed to be missing and unmentioned. Given his brother's weak health all the time, he feared that the others were hiding something from him. But he was too afraid to ask others about that.
A few days passed with him still staying with his relatives. He tried to find, fruitlessly, any information regarding his brother. And he was starting to wonder how will he live for the rest of his live. He wanted to move away, to somewhere no one would know him. He doesn't want to stay where he is, to remind him of a tregedy that he can't even comprehend...
...And then he saw his brother back. Turned out he was only taken to a schduled health check in the hospital, and it took a few days because of his weak state. Huge relief indeed. ...Wait, his parents were letting their baby live with giant, lethal snakes?
Elchikaah Haly (Wed Feb 27, 2013)
Well, that can be realistic for one kid in Cambodia, lol.
nocturnal YL (Sat Mar 30, 2013)
The first dream had me in an alternate world where the people and things I've seen in different times, together with situations I've never been at, are mixed. There, I was a matriculation student, studying chemistry under my junior secondary history teacher (who sounded more like my other, accounting teacher in senior secondary). One time, I was taking a bus home while being very tired, and I left without an extra bag I brought for that day. So after I got off, I called my schoolmates (who are still on the bus) for help, but it took them a while to notice that I was calling. It was a close call; my bag was eventually recovered.
The second dream lasted for not even a minute. I was lying upside-down on a bed, and my (fictional)very beautiful four-year-old daughter was hand-drumming on my head. True to my actual personality, I thought that kind of act was "cute" (with young children and small mammals, I don't mind them attacking me at all, even though sometimes it does hurt).
nocturnal YL (Tue Apr 02, 2013)
Two more. The second dream wasn't too far from what I usually have - game-based setting with completely new levels. The first one was more interesting, although it's more of a remix than something new.
First dream:
I got a new, personal flying machine (different one from my other dream's rocket) that allows me to travel between short distance. It's pitch black and open (no shieldings), and I sit in the machine, controlling it with a single three-dimentional control stick. I was rather new to driving this kind of machine, and it can only fly for 10 minutes. This means that I'll have to be very careful with it, because running out of fuel midair isn't going to end well.
One time, the city's water level was slowly rising. Despite being a newbie, I was given the task to fly from building 1 to the uphill building 2 of a two-part school, telling them to evacuate. My first attempt didn't go well at all, as I was trying to familiarize myself with the control, and time ran out before I even completely got the idea. I didn't even leave enough time for myself to practice landing, and I panicked a bit because of that. At least I made it alive back to buildng 1, but that means I had to try again.
The second attempt was better. I was able to fly somewhat stably and made it in time. I was nervous, but flying was fun and I was glad to be assigned the task. I did some casual flying later, although I couldn't do it for too long since the machine could easily overheat. It's still a long way to go before personal flying devices would work as people wanted them to.
Second dream:
I was going to buy a room for living in. When I went to check the room, I found that the building it was in had some no-gravity area, and it's infested with ghosts. I did some fighting there, and left when chance allowed. There's no way I'm going to buy a room in a building like that.
Camille (Tue Apr 02, 2013)
I have been having a load of dreams lately that I guess you could call bizarre. They are out of context snippets of me doing an assortment of things (like one time I was packing a box of coffee mugs) while someone else is talking in the background about something.
The thing is that I remember them for weeks, and then they actually happen. Like, down to the phrase that I hear being said in the background. It's like I live in a particularly buggy version of the Matrix.
(This has always happened to me, it's just gotten more frequent over the past couple of years.)
nocturnal YL (Sun Apr 07, 2013)
Four more to go (although some of them are just boring stuff).
- Even more Mario 64-inspired stuff. This time I was being in a large underwater cave. There's very little to expore around, though.
- I was dreaming of driving without the know-how, and still somehow managed to park my car. (I've had similar dreams befoe, where I had to drive due to emergency situation, despite not knowing how to.) Afterwards, I embarked on an urban adventure, but was soon stopped by an interesting "fishing" area found next to a pier. People could pay for a chance to catch fish in a pond by attracting the fish there onto a seesaw, and then they can stomp on the seesaw, make the fish fly out, and catch it. And the whole process in underwater. Interestingly, some people have actually managed to do all that. I didn't, though.
- You know those cinema booking systems? My dream involved platforming in the UI of one such system. Once I decided to settle down on one of those seats, a movie started. I have no memories of the actual movie, though.
- Dreamt of being a newbie congressman and spoke too aggressively against the opposition. Now my party had a lot of PR stuff to do. Apparently, even though you have to have battles against the opposing party, you have to do it with tactics. Accusing them of everything won't always work even if you have solid evidence.
nocturnal YL (Sun Apr 21, 2013)
Now here's a weird tale. I was on the 13th (and top) floor of a residenial tower, and for some reason decided to wander around. I went to the 10th floor, and found that theit lobby have a large window that allows for a clear view of a colourful field and small houses just outside. There, I met a man with a camera. This man sems to be some professional photogapher, and I asked him to take a photo of the scenery for me. He did, and has even taken out his computer to transfer the photo to me on the spot. I noticed that his machine is full of 2005 software, including Windows XP (which he claimed to be UXTheme-patched, but the patch was restored when he tried to repair the OS, and he was planning to re-patch it), Studio MX 2004 (the original MX was still there too) and CS2. There was also an interesting Mario fangame in which the player's goal is to fling a ball (with the mouse) to hit Koopalings. That game as some rather creative use of the title bar, superimposing a custom UI style over the existing one. Anyway, this guy's computer was sure to be interesting. I stayed with him for a while out of curiousity.
After that, I bid goodbye with him, taking the photo he got me and that Mario fangame, and I proceeded to take leave with my sister and a group of her friends. We headed (by taxi) to a frozen meat store, and I soon went into quarrel with one of their (less-than-friendly) staff members. I soon apologized though, for I did not want things to go too bad with all the kids around, and I realized that I was intimidating enough and my original goal of letting them have a taste of their own medicine already worked.
------
Wow. There're so many real life reference in this weird dream. First off, I used to live in the 14th floor of a 16-floor public house, and moved to my current building's 13th floor 10 years ago. The colourful field I saw in that dream was probably some reference to Pyroland, and the photographer's computer had to do with Adobe deactivating their CS2 activation servers. My quarreling with the frozen meat store staff is a very true reference to how I have a tendency to start verbal fights wih retail staff when they genuinely show incompetency. Having worked as service provider before doesn't make me any more sympathetic with them.
nocturnal YL (Thu May 02, 2013)
New dream of a story that's similar to the average soap opera here. Seen in third person, the dream had the story set in 1995, following a high-ranking family with two brothers who would always quarrel with each other. The younger one stayed with his mother, helping her family business and other matters. The older one, on the other hand, didn't care about the whole family business thing, opted to instead go out and fight on his own, hoping to stand alone as a successful person without his family's assistance. One day, underground family feud led to physical fights, and the younger son died protecting his mother. Upon learning the news, the older brother rushed back to his mother, reconciled with the family and vowed to protect his mother. Much later on, the older brother and his mother was attacked again, and were terribly injured. They eventually made it, although they wished they were dead, saying that they were long spiritually dead anyway.
Like most TV drama, this story has its share of flaws. For one thing, in one scene some nameless children were seen playing Game Boy Color, something that didn't exist until 1998.
Camille (Thu May 02, 2013)
I had a dream last night that was akin to a noire type murder mystery.
The villain ended up being a non-existent sister of a person I vaguely know, except that she looked nothing like him or his real sister (they are both tall, skinny, and blonde, and the "sister" had brilliantly orange (like, seriously, glowing,) hair and was very petite.) I have no idea why poor Andrew got inserted in there. It's probably because I read a story his wife posted yesterday.
nocturnal YL (Mon May 13, 2013)
Got a series of dreams. I had all these in this morning.
Insert "I woke up and found out the last event was a dream" between each story.
- My family went to a training session on making fire. My father and I took turn to go out and look for flammable objects littering around, and we had to be careful because it was dark outside and it was an apocalyptic world where I would face either criminals or monsters.
- I learnt that a close friend of mine was getting married. I felt glad for her. Some (fictional) religious studies teacher of mine noticed that, and said she was dubious because I seemed to be on friendly terms with her. I explained to her that just because we're close doesn't mean we're in love or anything, but apparently she doesn't understand what Platonic love is, even though she's atually quite open-minded for a religious teacher who acknowledged facts that appear to be contradicting religious teachings.
- I thought that was a dream after waking up, but my other friends started talking about my friend's marriage, which she confirmed when I saw her. Since we met by chance, she couldn't give me her invitation and I planned to visit her in person the next day, doing my own shopping on my way.
- I woke up, and went on to watch a (non-existent) TAS of SNES Goof Troop "Others 100%" (this branch will never exist, since the game is actually very linear), but shortly after my mother reminded me to get out because she thought I was to meet up with my friend. Oh crud, so it's not a dream after all?
- I was installing a version of Windows Vista with some interesting interface. The main branch of installation was a weird GUI with insallation progress on the right and a mini browser and media player on the left. The browser would a stylized image with "192.168.0.1.ie.go.com" written on it, which as you can guess, is not a valid URL. Whn something was amiss or when I wanted to customize my instalation, I had to switch to console mode and use text commands to change anything I want to. Who knows I had to use commands like "copy con settings.ini" when installing Vista?
- My family temporaily moved to a residential area that's close to facilities like parks and bus terminals. The environment was pretty nice, and my little cousin was paying a visit here. We'd bring him down to the park sometimes, but he preferred to just randomly run around and sometimes pose for photos. Since the resdential area was new, the nearby facilities were crowded. Taking ideal photos was difficult.
- I was back to a large version of my home. We played what's thought to be an ancient Chinese version of basketball which, in reality, was group-based balloon punching with both airbrone targets and hard-to-enter hoops. Soon after they left, I accidentally trippen over something and landed on my pet. It was horrifying, and I was terrified and gave into despair.
I finally woke up for real. And went back to sleep because a nightmarish ending doesn't really help restoring my vitality.
The second sleep gave me a dream where I was studying maths - the last of my studies. The topics weren't especially hard - they involved analysing statistics, but the exercise questions were tricky.
nocturnal YL (Thu May 23, 2013)
For the last two days, I had dreams of running in houses so big that they're not unlike dungeons in adventure games. The first day had attacks from giant Godzilla-like monsters, and the second day had firey apocalypse. In both days' dreams, I had to escort the people out of the house while avoiding all kinds of hazards, and there were no means of attacking.
The second day also had a seperate dream of playing a 6th Parodius, a series of short but challenging shooting games. Com on, Konami, make Parodius again! Those are silly and fun.
nocturnal YL (Thu May 30, 2013)
This morning, I had a dream about watching all sorts of E3-related news. I must be too excited or something. The things I saw were too teaser-y to mean anything, though. I've got Mario's head (from Mario 64) updated to his Galaxy look, and few Smash Bros screenshots (none of which showed anything new). Smash Bros' graphics look disappointing (the worst of all Wii U titles shown), but at least it's in HD.
Only 13 days until E3. Come on come on come on.
nocturnal YL (Fri May 31, 2013)
Had two dreams earlier today.
The first one involved a 12-year-old boy who can transform to a superhero, and in one of his missions he rescued some 24-year-old office clerk from a disaster. In a rather comical twist, the superhero transformed back on the way of carrying the cleark away, revealing his ordinary human form. And he continued to carry the clerk to safely, seemingly showing that his superhero form isn't really needed. In a comical twist, the two became lovers, disregarding any age difference. (Must be the result of reading too much about Micaiah and Sothe. But in this dream, both persons age normally.)
The second one tool place in a decade ago. I was doing some shopping with my family, who had to leave first. Later, when I was about to leave, the weather turned bad with heavy rain. Fortunately, I had a raincoat, and could call my family to let them know of my situation. I ended up meeting them eventlessly. (In other words, this is just a peaceful dream with no drama whatsoever.)
starlightmeteor (Sat Jun 01, 2013)
The first dream reminds me of a terribly ridiculous show I viewed at a recent anime convention called...Chargeman Ken. The superhero stuff though, and at the very least your kid superhero isn't a huge jerk. But let me get this straight..err, when he transforms, does the kid's appearance age?
I don't think Sothe and Micaiah's relationship is that awkward...it's not...as bad as Rex Raglan and Ellis. As a general comparison, Ellis was 12 years old when she met Rex's 23 year old GREAT GREAT grandfather. Granted, she's an elf and elves age differently than humans, but still...=S
Funny though, I haven't had much dreams lately. Maybe I'm afraid I will end up dreaming something weird.
nocturnal YL (Sun Jun 02, 2013)
No. The kid looks 12 in both his normal and superhero forms.
I know Sothe and Micaiah are just a tip of the iceberg when it comes to this kind of story.Try FE13 with a potential pair with the age difference of 3000 years. In either case, the age differences don't show in the appearance, so they aren't anywhere close to my dream's situation.
On the other hand, I've seen real-life stories of rich guys hitting on old, richer ladies. And then there's Russia's Empress Catherine II.
nocturnal YL (Tue Jun 18, 2013)
Had these really weird dreams.
The first one involves 23 June's supermoon. I leaned out from my room, only to see a giant moon to the left, and, for some reason, another bright object that seems to be the sun on the other side. And to make it weirder, a lunar eclipse occurred. Everyone outside were cheering, and some were shouting Majora's Mask references.
The second one has me playing a Mario-themed dunegeon crawler without enemies. A massive floow occurred, and Mario and Peach had to find escape routes. On the way, they found themselves some magic bubbles to make them be able to breathe underwater before they submerged. Peach then got a call from Daisy with this conversation: "Where are you guys?" "No time for chit-chat! We're in a crisis!" "Well that's why I'm calling! Luigi has passed out and the water is rising!" Mario found them and they joined the team as well. They eventually found a fifth member - Bowser, whose ability to climb walls proved useful. I did not play it long enough to leave the first dungeon, and was stuck in a section for quite a while.
nocturnal YL
Okay, so here's another dream that involves an adventure game. This time, it's an adventure game with two player characters. They can switch to and from each other, and the only difference there is the weapons they can use. The game itself works as an ARPG/ADV crossover (think Zelda II), though graphically it's considerably more adorable. My team was at level 26 (out of 50), and they can use weapons like blades (for attacking and reflecting projectiles) and guns, with each category being upgradable by both finding the upgrade itself and reaching a certain level (for example, my team's inventory has a level 24 sword and a level 25 gun, so they can't use those until they reach those levels themselves).
As far as the level layout goes, here are some examples:
There wasn't any particular objective. It's an underground facility, and you can say the player characters are petty thieves who started small, but eventually became a deadly team.
Oh, and the bosses are complety optional. They can be fought to open up the paths they block, but every place can be reached from multiple ways.
I'll want to make my own games if I can, but right now, I don't really know how to make those and my attempts to create game systems tend to halt midway because I got lost. Programming is a confusing beast.
And yay, that old scene creator finally sees some use from me!
nocturnal YL (Wed Jul 10, 2013)
Two more interestng dreams, though they're pretty short.
The first one involved a group of my old friends. It's a few years in the future, but we still managed to find time to meet. The stuff we talked on ate just ordinary stuff, since we're just a bunch of normal people anyway.
The second one is FE13 in the modern world. Played in Lucina's perspective when she was taking a ride in Cordelia's car. She comments how her driving is better than both her parents', as her father was a bit reckless and her mother hasn't driven ever since she crashed their last car. Cordelia humbly denied, while skilfully parking her car perfectly in a single attempt.
nocturnal YL (Sun Jul 21, 2013)
Um, why do I have dreams about schools and such? There's this one about my return to a school I used to be in. I forgot to bring something to class despite it was after the final exam and there was no real need to be even there. Regardless, I ran away as students enter their classrooms, setting a bad example as a senior. As I ran upstairs to the top floor, I found that there was nothing but a hanging ladder that leads to the roof, which connects to another different area which looks grassy and playground-like. I climber up and went through that area, only to find myself in a tunnel that leads to an urban area, with one of the buildings around being the mall that would connect to my university. I entered it, only to find that it's the afterhours and most lights were out. The university was not open, either. I backtracked to the school I started in, and found that the students there were casually chatting. Now I have forgotten something and skipped school without explanation, and to my shock, I was actually supposed to be teaching there. I was about to be fired, but then I realized that it was just a dream, so there's nothing I need to do... probably. Was I dreaming or not? Hmm... whatever, proceed to the next dream. (I should try to model those school/obstacle course stuff some day...)
Another dream of mine involved the Star Fox series of games. Taking Fox's role, I was flying around a space-themed cloud sea, which is a big rest station for intergalatic fighters like us. We were called there to investigate the presence of an assassin there (without leaving our ships), something we did quickly, but we had trouble breaking into his hiding place, which had to be opening with some deliberate timed puzzle. Fortunately for us, we managed to finish everything, and we decided to have some snack in a nearby bar afterwards.
nocturnal YL (Thu Aug 15, 2013)
Today I dreamt of going to some sort of trade fair with a few of my (fictional) friends, and after leaving we went to have Chinese hot pot for dinner. Their menu was rather weird, with a long paper divided into 4 almost identical part, each listing a bunch of food items. Each participant must then pick their order on the form, with at most one order of the same food per person (weird rule).
After that, we parted ways, and I found a pair of mother-and-daughter cats following me. I ended up adopting them, and we started going around and got to know more cats. I feel loved.
nocturnal YL (Tue Sep 17, 2013)
Two new dreams. One's about witnessing a new FE release and, with that, a full-length movie accompanying it. Too bad my dream only included the first few minutes of the movie, which is really just showing a few civillians talking about a potential attack. The game takes place in a new continent and will be a Wii U title, but that's all my dream contained.
The other's about going to a rented house and resting in preparation to study. The house looked awfully like a hotel room, and the surrounding environment was a small town with various shops and restaurants. Looks like the kind of place I want to go to.
(Dear dreams: Now please stop magnifying my wishes and give me something more original, will you?)
starlightmeteor (Tue Sep 17, 2013)
I gotta say, at least your dreams are rather realistic =) I'm not sure what you mean by original...because sometimes I got those annoyingly fangirlish dreams that you can spin romantic fanfics from . When moments of fangirlism hits me, it hits me hard *sigh*
That being said, I'll ...try my best to add to this topic *without dropping the name of the game I'm referring to or any hints of the series in order to maintain my sanity*. So here goes (and please bear with my writing?). Recently, I dreamt about two adoptive siblings, an older man and a younger woman, who were on the run from the royal authorities and trying to escape of their home country during the aftermath of a civil rebellion. The man was originally part of the rebel group's main members, but after being tortured, and brainwashed by the authorities, he rejected his old ties with the army and had suffered major injuries. He had collapsed somewhere away from the castle, though I'm not sure exactly where. My memory is pretty hazy here.
The sister, discovering that the war is over, somehow finds her older brother lying somewhere and manages to treat his wounds. After a few days, the brother wakes up confused, and says some hurtful things to his sister. The two of them argue and bicker when they suddenly realize they are both lost, hungry and homeless. They reluctantly set their differences aside and decide to work together to find food and a place to sleep. Heading over to the main city, they stop near a pub. The siblings argued over who would talk to the owner - the sister says to the brother he still needs to recover and she can earn money by offering her cooking skills. The brother argued that since he was older, he should talk to the owner. The two of them were making such a ruckus that random passerbyers dropped their mouth in surprise and made rude remarks about the siblings to each other. I think some of them mistook the siblings for a married couple.
Oh...I forgot to mention that the brother and sister belong to two different racial groups. The sister belongs to the minority group, while the brother belongs to the majority. Moving on...
The passerbyers glance at the duo and shot wierd looks at them from time to time, while the siblings were pretty much oblivious to the drama they were creating on the streets.
And that was as far as I remember =p
nocturnal YL (Tue Sep 17, 2013)
Haha, that's interesting. Can't tell what game are you referencing though.
starlightmeteor (Tue Sep 17, 2013)
The game's plot isn't complete yet in the sense that all of the loose ends were wrapped up...I would argue that half of it was completed since the plot was re-written to feature two protagonists instead of one.
Never mind what I said about not mentioning which game it is. I'll probably be drawing some the characters and posting them on DA soon anyway, so there's no point in withholding information =p (Or maybe not...*is clearly indecisive*)
The game I'm referencing from is the latest game of the Heaven Department Series. It's "Gungnir: Inferno of the Demon Lance and the War of Heroes." Without spoiling too much, the two protagonists that the game *will revolve* around are two brothers that aren't related by blood. (Just to clarify things, the younger brother is also part of the minority group as the sister, making her the middle child). Only one side of the story has been revealed (the younger brother's).
@nox: Btw, I was wondering about that FE dream you had. Did you see anything distinct like how the lands vaguely looked like and its inhabitants? Sounds like it was pretty vivid to me ^^'
nocturnal YL (Sat Sep 21, 2013)
I wanted original dreams like some of my previous ones. Things like seeing a new FE or going to some foreign land are things I want to see or will do anyway.
And, hmm, that dream... The landform is unique. It's a large, vertical (south-to-north) landmass plus a large penisula on the northwestern side. There are lots of outlying islands, but none are of significant mass. The inhabitants, as well as the movie's style, look like something out of Radinat Dawn.
nocturnal YL (Sat Oct 05, 2013)
I was aslept for 15 hours straight. Must've been pretty exhausted. It also means some new dreams.
The first one is a feature-length movie based on the Kirby anime. Some robot has invaded a city Kirby and co. are visiting, so it's up to Meta Knight to come up with a plan to give chase and destroy the robot. He ended up hijacking public transport and located the robot monster, and as usual, Kirby got the robot destroyed.
The second one had me at home, talking to my family about how often should I return. Hmm....
The third onw had me in a Luigi's Mansion-themed, futuristic real-life game. At one part, along with discovering money, I found a poisonous, lizard-like entity who tried to attack me. I could hold it back, but couldn't kill it. I decided to escape instead, and it managed to follow me, open the building's door on its own, and chased me outside. Some nearby outsiders were scared, but as soon as I left the building's surrounding area, that lizard went back on its own. I had a hard time explaining that it's basically an attraction made too realistic.
The fourth one put me in a few years ago, talking to my old schoolmates, visiting book stores and doing my reading reviews. I had to comment back on the comments my teacher gave me.
nocturnal YL (Tue Oct 15, 2013)
I had these two dreams with similar themes. The first one: Stealth modifying movies, games, books, etc. to make people feel depressing, and leveraging their negativity to make them less productive, giving the modifiers a good chance to usurp the whole earth. The second one: More straightforward, just mingle with people and destroy the world from within.
nocturnal YL (Sun Oct 27, 2013)
I had this horrible dream where I was in a strict school with touble-making students. As a result, the students were under heavy monitoring and treated as suspects until proven innocent. In one occasion, this happened during a morning assembly, and we all had to wait until a toublemaker confessed, and in the meanwhile we had to stand, wait, and occasionally answer to interrogations.
starlightmeteor (Sun Oct 27, 2013)
Eh? Sounds interesting. Have you been reading, watching, or playing anything that's related to law and order? XD
nocturnal YL (Tue Oct 29, 2013)
Nothing of that sort. I don't even know where did that dream come from.
More lately I've been having dreams about at home, and more cruelly, waking up at home. Did I finally start getting homesick? I don't like where this is leading to, and generally feeling depressed (probably just a regular thing that should last for only a few days) doesn't help.
nocturnal YL (Thu Oct 31, 2013)
Got something... really bizarre there. Let me recount individual scenes...
- I complained to a bus company about their handrails. They sarcastically ask me what did I want, to which I replied "I don't know, maybe something easier to grip on?" The next time I travelled, a bunch of people in the buscompany's uniform came in, set up small pieces of clothes similar to car sun shades, and asked me to grip on them. Obviously, those are no good to use. A few station later, they remove those devices and one of them came and said, "See? It's NOT better!"
- I was visiting someone, and somewhere in the progress I accidentally got some poop on my clothes from his baby son's pile of "prepare to wash" clothes. Ewwww. My mother was nearby for some reason, and she was holding some spare clothing for me, so at least I didn't have to leave with poop on me. And when I got back, the guy who handled my laundries (not a commercial service) said he had to put my poop clothes and my quilt sleeve together because of laundry volume requirement. Ewwwwwwww.
- Some guy came out of the blue and attempted to propose to a friend of mine. She didn't take this guy kindly, and I helped fending him off. Apparently, he had the entire script and even some props worked out, but didn't expect to be rejected so harshly. Sounds like some movie villain to me.
- I was going with my mother and some other relatives to visit restaurants. I pulled my mother aside and asked her if we should follow the rest of the group, because a meals there cost hundreds of pounds. My mother kindly pointed out the barely visible decimal points. I needed new glasses.

Dear brain, stop giving me random nightmares out of nowhere. Seeing a child fall into a train track and get promptly run over is NOT helping me restore energy, even if said kid turns out to be unharmed for unexplained reasons.
Camille (Thu Nov 14, 2013)
I hate dreams like that. After one of those, I'm lucky to go back to sleep at all.
nocturnal YL (Mon Nov 25, 2013)
I had some...nostalgic dreams. Involving my old friends. And my family. I dreamt of hanging out with them individually, complete with my sentiment with them (want to talk to them, want to do some activities with them...). Dear brain, at a time when I have to deal with my schoolwork and otherwise preoccupied with so many other things (game launches that I just can't resist folllowing, general nostalgia, general life management since I live alone)... don'tmake dreams like this! This way, I can't rest even when I sleep...
nocturnal YL (Fri Dec 06, 2013)
Today marks the end of my first term. I had to do some presentation for the course, and the dream of the day? Missing that event, of course! (Plus some surreal remixes about a slightly different version of my home and other students in my course calling me.) My brain loves to give me some horrible nightmares when I'm stressed and need rest! Because that's how dreams work! Yaaaay!!!!
EDIT
...And then one day later, I had a dream about missing busses and having to find food. Stop reflectingreality, dreams!
nocturnal YL (Sun Dec 29, 2013)
New dream! And it's a full story this time!
-----
The story follows a girl aged about 22, who was set out to travel to a nearby city with her mother. As they went to the tran station, they parted ways and somehow, the mother didn't come back when it was time to board, and the girl was already on the train. At this point, her mother's train ticket was wasted, and she decided to remain at home as a result.
After the train (which feels more like a roller coaster in terms of speed) arrived at the first stop, the girl got off the train and had to wait for the connecting train to her destination. In the way, she left the station and was surprised to see nice little town... with no one in it. Instead, all she saw were zombies. She tried to return, only to find one of those zombies right behind her. This forced her to run aimlessly until she found an underground room with a well-equipped boy in it. The boy has been there for almost a month, and ended up there in the first place for the same reason as the girl. After exchanging information and gears, they decided to go around looking for supplies that they can use.
They parted ways, and the girl found herself some food in an abandoned supermarket. She packed extra sugar because she liked those, and returned to find the place they met at, which served as a base of operation, were more infested than before. At the same time, the boy called her as he found a huge tower that could be the source of the prolem. The girl found herself in a dangerous situation: more zombies than ever, limited combat ability, and having to carry the essential equipment in the base. Luckily, halfway through she found that these zombies hated sugar, which really helped her to get through the hordes.
She eventually made it through, and the duo met another team of three. The five, now together and well-armed, decided to clean up the place bottom-up. When they finally reached the top, the view surprised them: They were in the clouds, with solid ground hidden in them and smaller buildings scattered around. The whole thing looked beautiful... but with zombies, who are now stronger than ever. Some of these zombies managed to take away the girl and some of her pals at times, but none of them lasted long before others take them down.
Eventually, they overcame the zombies, and much to their surprise, they were greeted by a pair of fairies. As it turned out, they were a peaceful race that ran the land, but someday zombies came and took the land, and they were powerless to fight back. The pair of fairies was the rulers of the land, and according to them, the most powerful among them could get more powerful - enough to repel the zombies - by getting married. But they had no men, and now that they were saved, they wanted to have one of the heroes marry one of them to grant them the power. The team, rather obviously, had no wish to stay there forever, so they had to decline the marriage request.
At this time, our heroine came up with a solution. The fairies said they had to get married, but they never explicitly say who are they to marry. So she suggested that the two fairy leaders... marry each other. The fairies were shocked to hear this at first, but after letting this sink in a bit, one of the fairies revealed that she had actually wanted to do that herself.
And so, the fairies had their first same-gender marriage in their city. Because this was between two powerful (for fairies) leaders, their power were amplified even further. With the place now free of zombies, the group of five were able to return to their respective homes. Huh? Romance, with the heroine? The first boy she met was already taken. They didn't come to look for a date.

This has got to be the best third-person dream story I've had. Don't ask me where did my subconciousness get the ideas from; I don't know.
Camille (Tue Dec 31, 2013)
That was remarkably detailed and coherent for a dream.
On the other extreme, mine the night before last involved carrying a gigantic 30 lb. watermelon back from the farmer's market with my husband, us taking shortcuts my hopping through backyards and climbing fences, (...while carrying the watermelon, no less,) and getting stalked by creepy living scarecrows that spoke in prose.
I keep getting stranger and stranger dreams. It's really starting to affect my ability to wake up easily in the morning =/
nocturnal YL (Mon Jan 27, 2014)
Been getting lots of dreams lately. I find that not only are these linked to myexperience or thoughts, but that they tend to happen whenever I'm tired.
Yesterday:
- Talking to a relative and his girlfriend about his finally getting a poet-graduate degree (of some kind, not sure what it is). My family was about to take them out for celebration.
- Visiting a relative's family while their own relatives are visiting. We played video games.
Today:
- Easter Egg hunting in Luigi's Mansion. We have to find 30 sets of cardboards, combine them, and carry them to specific locations. We're rewarded with playable GBA games for all that effort, so why not?
- Somewhere in Kirby Triple Deluxe, there's hidden nudity. Rated for all ages indeed.
- I am a student in a secondary school, and since most of my class is gone for a sports event, the rest few of us were temporaily placed in a different class. Their teacher hated us for not fitting in their teaching schedule (because we really have different schemes), but interestingly, said teacher is responsible for all subjects. While she made us look like idiots during history class, in language classes we were able to make fun of her lack of qualification to really teach foreign languages. And then during IT class, we decided to pull some pranks on her computer. Her cluelessness is priceless.
EDIT: One day after:
- There is a speed run of a custom-made driving game, with the objective of delivering people in a family-sized private car. It has NES-style graphics, but can do things not possible on that system like parallax scrolling and advanced pseudo-3D graphics. Turns out that it's built on GameCube. And the speedrunner, who turns out to be an early-teen girl with a disabled right arm, inserts snarky comments regarding the game's AI and talks about her dog, who sits next to her during the run. The whole thing feels funny, though not appropriate for the player's age.
- I am outside late at night, and see a guy enjoying his outdoor bath in the middle of winter when it's 0°C outside.

Got a few more!
Royal visit
In the world of FE Awakening. The Ylissean royal house has a foreign visitor: the princess of a country from a different continent. This princess speaks proudly with an accent, and considers everyone of non-noble blood lowly. Humourously, when she faces Chrom, she dismisses him as an unruly bodyguard who speaks out of place, and asks Lissa why don't they just fire him.
False Smash Bros. update
Wednesday morning. I was half-sleeping, and my phone's alarm went off. I woke up and launched my phone's browser, waiting to see what would show up on the Smash Bros. website, and proceeded to fall asleep again. In this half-awake state, I had this mental image of the Smash Bros. site being updated to a final version, with a black, starry background, and showing the initial lineup (which doesn't include anyone new beyond the ones announced). I could tell this is a dream by this thing called common sense. And then I woke up to this disappointment. They had quite some actual updates lately regarding the stages and items, and this, in comparison, is the emptiest one in the last two weeks.
Railway, studying in restaurants, and other random clips
In the near future, I will briefly return home. In my dream, I saw an updated map of the railway system, and we can go to more places at the expense of having to change trains more times per trip.
I also saw myself eating in restaurants near my home, studying something while waiting. And there are also random clips involving my family and stuff.
Doesn't matter. I'll see them in a few weeks.
Adventure in China
It's rainy and stormy in southern China. I was there, and was about to meet up with my mother, my sister and her friends. I was walking outside on a bridge connecting two shopping centres when a strong gust blew my umbrella and me upward, knocking me off the bridge. I hanged on a pipe that's conviently there, and miraculously managed to go back inside. A passerby stuct out his tennis racket (for some reason) in an attempt to rescue me, which amused me because this kind of kindness doesn't happen in China (where there are too many scammers and the cost of helping people is too high). When I returned, I couldn't speak properly out of shock for a short while.

Woah, your dreams are pretty creative~ I prefer not to share mines..besides, Some of them have ended up being stort stories on my DA page...or do seriously I subconsciously attempt to dream fanfiction in my head when I sleep...(?)
Do you remember what said foreign princees that came to visit Ylisse looked like (roughly)? I should have asked earlier, lol. These dreams seem to read more like short stories ^_~ Btw, have you visited Southern China outside of HK?
nocturnal YL (Mon May 05, 2014)
New dreams, as well as another one that I had earlier. I like these dreams; I know these are dreams, but I'm not awake enough to put a stop to all these creative rush.
--------------
I had this series of dreams today.
I was back to work - its contents were somewhere between my 1st and 3rd jobs, and I was working with colleaguesfrom my 3rd jobs. The task ofthe day: install something in the basement of an operation of unknown type. I was there ages ago, but apparently their staff found the technology too difficult for them, and abandoned its use for all those years. As a result, the basement wasunattended, and became apider-infested. Carelessness got my backpack compromised (eww), and I didn't dare to even move around, let alone replacing their unused machines.
Fortunately, reinforcement came soon, and I was assigned lighter jobs like setting up the video network (through component cables and signal repeaters). When it was time to leave, it was already 7 at night.
Then I went to a gathering with my old schoolmates - of different periods, all mixed up (well, it's a dream) - in my secondary school. It started off as a gathering-party, and that at some point some people pointed out that they aren't good enoughat math, and asked one of the teachers to teach them in a ceremonial lesson. Everything went like the real thing, to the point that some of our well-known troublemakers pretend to disrupt the lesson by hogging the classroom's computer, which is normally reserved for presentations. At one point we also spotted a pair of mother-and-child cats outside the classroom (how did they get in?), with the mother feeding the child some kind of meat.
Among my schoolmates was this woman that I don't know. She claims to be with a group of my schoolmates that I'm not familiar with, and I juet let it slide... until she got high for some reason, and started to advance onto me physically. At one point she was practically hugging me and kissed me in the cheek, then asked me to start a relationship. I was about to decline, but a lesson from first post in this topic said otherwise. I ended up giving a generic "I'll think about this" response, with a feeling that I'm got getting away from this.
By the time we left, it was 10 at night. That was chaotic, but fun in a way.
(There are so many real-life references in this story... I want a job, am in possession of a few unusable electronic equipment, all of which are video-related, I still hate spiders although I'm less afraid of them now, and am going to graduate soon.)
--------------
In another short dream, I had a vision about a project that will steer the world, now more than halfway through its expected lifespan, away from the sun to make it habitable for a little longer.
--------------
This was an earlier dream. The scene was a swimming pool at the top of a building, and suddenly, a giant stone object slowly drifted in. It made no noise, but everyone on earth screamed and panicked. It didn't hit earth, but brought a lot of smaller meteors, which did not only hit the planet, but brought it to an end.

Said royal looks like Mariabelle, but her demeanor has far more pride in it. Mariabelle can open up to commoners quite easily (well, there's her secret wish to be a bandit too), but not this princess.
I've been to China several times, mostly in Guangdong province. I've also been to Central China as a tourist before.
nocturnal YL (Sat Aug 25, 2012)
It's rather relieving to have seen her again, and after all those years, I wanted to ask her-
-curses. I woke up.
nocturnal YL (Mon Sep 03, 2012)
Elchikaah Haly (Wed Sep 12, 2012)
The dreams in your first message are actually quite interesting, and realistic too, lol. Quite touching too. For the first one, maybe this can change how you view relationships, lol.
Speaking of dreams, I restarted writing them in my old TXT file again since last month. Every interesting dreams will be written in it. Though pretty much every dreams I have are all weird stuff that are very unrealistic that can basically never happen in real life. Recent one was involving my story and ES original character, Pepe, living in a not so far post-apocalyptic future world infested with humans-turned-to-zombies and very few clean humans to save, lol.
Hopefully, just like the old times, I hope to get more lucid dreams.
starlightmeteor (Wed Sep 12, 2012)
And thus started my alone-in-foreign-land adventure.
nocturnal YL (Thu Nov 01, 2012)

I know Sothe and Micaiah are just a tip of the iceberg when it comes to this kind of story.

- I am outside late at night, and see a guy enjoying his outdoor bath in the middle of winter when it's 0°C outside.
nocturnal YL (Sun Mar 09, 2014)
When I returned, I couldn't speak properly out of shock for a short while.
starlightmeteor (Mon Mar 17, 2014)
