And now for a few completely bizarre dreams: Dream #1: I was having dinner with my coworkers, who were known to be thrifty. One of them unexpectedly suggesting having dessert after the we finished the meal, and so we went to a dessert bar. We went overboard, and the bill ended up to be somewhere around US$150. And my colleagues acted like it was no big deal. I felt uneasy, because while I could still afford it, I had no cash. One coworker offered to pay for me first. Dream #2: My coworker has been longing to get in a relationship, and he succeeded. Fast forward a few years, and he was about to get married - except that he found something wrong with his lover. Not wanting to have someone overly clingy and would marry anyone, he pushed his lover to me. Just like that, it became my problem, with a fiancée I never asked for that I had trouble thinking how to get rid of. Dream #3: I was in a game journalist in the us, invited by some Nintendo of America personnels to take a sneak peek of the upcoming system codenamed NX. Much to the surprise of the journalists, what they announced was a regular system, plus a model that combines it and a computer. It raised some questions at first, like if the standalone version of the NX is actually powered by Windows like the computer hybrid, and what does it mean to Nintendo as an independent console maker. NOA clarified that this wasn't the case at all, and the PC hybrid didn't run NX games under any kind of virtualisation. The showcased games were quite juicy, with an amiibo-themed sports game that they hoped to be this generation's Smash, and (finally) a proper Super Mario Galaxy 3. Hehe, I'm definitely late to the party, but your dream #1 is pretty much a real experience of mines. Except it was $120CAD..boo! At that time, the group I hung out with liked trying fancy restaurants but we went to a causal one and dumped a huge sum of money for pizza, pasta, and dessert. Dream #2: Have you been watching any shows with this premise by any chance? XD

I've had this weird dream today where I am part of a detective team. My partner and I were asked to follow a group of people who may be suspects and there are two more detectives who will cover me. I found one suspicious person, and since he was looking at my direction, actually telling my partner would alert the suspect. Instead, I went for the other two detectives, simply telling my first partner that I wanted to use the toilet (we had no establised secret code of any sort). The suspect noticed anyway, and was about to pull out a gun to shoot me. I managed to wrangle his arm, but he (of course) had two guns. I foolishly tried to run, but the cover detectives got him. He still managed to shoot, and I got minor injuries on my arm. I'm the worst crime scene detective I an find. Dream #2: Have you been watching any shows with this premise by any chance? XD No. I'm normally not interested in that kind of show. Or anything other than documentaries or America's Funniest Home Videos.

I had a few segments of weird dreams this morning. One was a rather mundane one with my mother asking me about why I'd place my wallet standing up (which is a low-tech solution to my laptop's blinking light while it's in sleep mode), and another was an unexpected announcement to bring even more DLC to Super Smash Bros., but with very weird fighter choices: a pixel graphics version of Duck Hunt with completely different moves than the original, a swappable version of Sonic, Tails and Knuckles (works like Brawl's Pokémon Trainer), the triumphant return of the Ice Climbers because screw frame rates, a very early inclusion of the protagonist from the Switch version of Fire Emblem, and three new Mii Fighter variants (not just new costumes).

Here's another one, again very loosely based on a Mario 64-like exploration game. I was hanging out with a friend, and as dusk approached, she somehow pursuaded me to go to a local community for a dart-throwing lesson that's meant for younger kids. I called my mum to tell her that I'd skip dinner, and we attended the lesson. The kids were good, but they wanted to see us to showcase our (non-existent) skills. The next day, I went on a trip to treasure hunting, bringing my pet turtle. There is a castle filled with traps and obstacles, and anyone who can overcome them will be rewarded with a golden star. One such obstacle is a machine that moves erratically, but will open its chasis and reveal four empty buckets in it. My turtle spat water so hard that he managed to fill three of those buckets, defeating the machine. Later that day, I went to the community again, and the kids wanted to give a try on treasure hunting. We attempted to beat the same machine (without the turtle; he went home), and succeeded once again.

It's my actual pet (so not a creation specifically for that dream). It's a pet originally brought in by my grandmother (who, um, isn't really fit to keep pets now, but I'll skip the details). He's about 10 inches by 6 inches in size. We don't know how old he is exactly, but he's at least 40 years old. So yeah, my pet is older than me.

Another day of long sleep, another set of dreams. They're kind of random, and for once no 3D platforming is involved this time! The first one involved two of my friends getting married. We were in the wedding ceremony, and I was part of the venue staff. The guests, for some reason, were only interested in the food and left before the couple could even exchange vows. They almost cried, but I encouraged them to continue anyway, even though everyone is gond and only the venue staff remained. The second one had me play a single-screen 2D platformer with very basic 3D visuals and unfitting sound effects, with gameplay like the Achievement Unlocked series. It's obviously experimental, but kind of fun. The third one looks like a Source Filmmaker movie, featureing the Metal Gear universe. Otacon was treating a wounded Snake despite having no qualification whatsoever using a random guidebook as the only source of reference, and somehow managed to suceed.

Maybe our dream topics change with age? I dunno. I've had the odd dream about my family where I've woken up before and addressed one of my aunts as another aunt I dreamt in my dream, lol. I don't want to even admit I've dreamed some things I've throw in my random fanfiction *looks at my Fire Emblem fanfiction and winces*. Nope, not gonna do that~ This is also why I don't resolve my stories. I try to force a reset because sometimes I don't like the version I've dreamt about.

For some reason, I had horrible dreams lately. There was one with me being in an elevator with two strangers. The elevator is in a building under construction, and some floors aren't there. One of the strangers was drunk, and when the elevator stopped at an "empty" floor, he just went out and dropped by a whole floor. He died right there, much to my horror. There was another dream where I was with my mother and sister, and we were in a really shady amusement park. One of their attractions is a show that would invite members of their audience to the stage, which is actually a small arena filled with dogs who look like they're ready to bite any human to death. The participant will be there, and the raging dogs are only kept in line by their trainers issuing commands. One oversight and a fatal injury might happen! Unfortunately for me, I was the one who was picked, and the staff was rather puchy about it. I had to endure all this potentially life-threatening trauma, and at one point one dog's teeth actually touched my hand. I survived, but I was really scared at the time. As soon as I regained composure, I started getting myself ready to sue the park. Dear me, can you please make more pleasant dreams? Actually, wait, no. I once had a dream that made me see the NX (now Nintendo Switch) early, and I was rather disappointed when I woke up.

Not much to say, but after days of playing FE Warriors, I've had this weird dream of playinga Kirby variant of Warriors. Instead of fighting against hordes or enemies, Kirby has to face familiar bosses in 1-to-1 battles, with a giant Shadow Kirby being the map boss. The arena is indoor and looks rather blocky, and feels more like Star Fox 2 than an actual Kirby location.

These are from a bit ago, because I never quite have the time to write them down. Both of them are just very short clips.
One of them involves me having a spare pet turtle stoved in a drawer, for some reason. It's like a toy, only… biological. And I can "activate" it any time. Somehow, I thought it was a good idea to do so in the dead of the winter. It… kind of worked? From that point on things became hazy again…
The other one is a three-way crossover between Nintendo high fantasies, featuring Link (BotW), Marth and Shulk in an RPG that uses Breath of the Wild-based physics in overworld, but menu-driven battles. Must be a side effect of me starting to play Breath of the Wild.

I got two more! Interestingly, these are related to multiple things I deal with. The first one was game-relaed, and it was a few days ago. I was in a game — a Mario game, specifically. It's a mix of Super Mario Galaxy and Super Mario Odyssey, in that levels are made as a series of planets, but the collectibles are Power Moons scattered everywhere. It was only a very short scene, but I (or rather, a first-person camera, since I didn't "feel" myself as part of the story) was in the middle of a linear mission. I was on a medium-sized (by Mario Galaxy standard) planet with green grass and a small river surrounding a small island. The closest thing to the actual game sould be Beach Bowl Galaxy, but with much more land. Anyway, I jumped off a bridge connecting the island with the landmass, and onto a boat in the river, only to feel some Joy-Con-style rumble in my hands and some familiar sound effects. Looking back, I found two previously undiscovered purple Power Moons, one under the bridge, and one on top of a tree in the main landmass. More surprisingly, I saw Hatsune Miku and Megurine Luka ( in these outfits) coming out of nowhere, snatching those moons. Asked why they were there, and they explained that they were taking a break by sneaking into games they have no business being in. The second one involved me being with my coworkers, and sitting in a futuristic convention center's lounge area. We were discussing about the way to move forward after Adobe Systems would stop supplying newer versions of Flash Player (which is a real thing set to happen by the end of 2020), and it coincided Adobe's (not real, unfortunately) announcement to continue support the SWF file format in other means, including streaming the screen over the server (effectively putting execution on the server side), which honestly is even worse when security is concerned. The discussion did not end with any meaningful conclusion.

I've had some… bad experience.
This morning, I had a dream where I was in a magical school / camp site style establishment somewhere in the UK. We arrived there for the first day, and had to get ourselves ready for sleep. We were in a group of 11, and once we got to our dormitory — a house with walls that can disappear into the ground (so that free movement is possible, as the room itself is small) — we set up a temporary LAN, decided among ourselves he bed allocation, and everything was fine. For some reasons, there were a few arcade cabinets in the room as well (isn't it a small room?), but when one of us opened a coin tray door, I saw a living spider and its web there. I told my roommate about this, bue before any action could be done, another roommate found a fairly big insect that jumps and hovers on the ground. Yet another roommate squished it with a slipper, and the slipper's owner wasn't happy about it. And he still had to clean up the squished bug.
As I went back to my bed, now only wanted to get it over, I found another roommate there. She said she would takemy place and I had to move to another bed closer to where the squished bug was. I was reluctant, but I could sympathise with her, so I agreed. At around the same time, a student prefect came around and asked us to quiet down and sleep, but that he understood the situation here too.
On my way back to my own bed, with the wall still not in place, I somehow got lost and wandered into a nearby, similarly wall-less train. But that train's wall materialised right at that point, so with no way to leave and I was tired, I decided to just sleep in the train and see what would happen. It turned out that the train was going to transport another group of students to their dorm, so I ended up rather far away from where I was supposed to be.
I immediately applied for resignation from that school.
This story is kind of being inspired from my first visit to the UK as a child. I was there for a three-week summer school program, and my experience there wasn't entirely pleasant, unlike my next visit as an adult student.
EDIT (5 May 2018) — I had some weird dream about being in a virutal world made by SEGA fans, with game-themed booths inside it. That's the normal part. The weirder parts include a residential building wieh children climbing out of the windows and swinging on the laundry poles, scaring the onlookers, and multiple moons hanging in the sky moving at a quick speed, looking like if an apocalypse is going to happen.
I also had a dream (also today, after I got up and went back to bed) that I was in a small hostel painted in white. I was told that was actually going to be a permanent residence, and I found that very uncomfortable, as it's a huge downgrade from where I actually live in.

Is this place dead? Yes it is; but it's also a convenient place for me to talk about my dreams, so I'll continue to use this place for that purpose.
All of these dreams happened during this week:
- I was at work, and my work computer caught a virus, in a style similar to ransomware. My bosses and I panicked.
- I was in an exam, unprepared. I panicked.
- Anoher dream of the destruction of the world, and I could see a giant celestial object that's obviously going to ram into Earth soon. (Makes sense, since a hurricane was happening at the time.)
- I was playing my Nintendo 3DS, and, frustrated, I threw it away onto my bed, and went to sleep. I then regretted it, so I tried to check it for damages, but the whole system was not usable. This dream felt so real that I could even feel myself half-awake, trying to figure out what's really going on, and could confirm that it was indeed my actual 3DS that got damaged. Except it's not. It's one of those lucid dreams that feel so real, up to the point that I felt like I was half asleep but could feel what I was touching. All these in a short one-hour nap.

Your brain is quite imaginative, Noct Xd
I'm kind of back...for a while. (I also feel that my work here would be for nothing, and I finally regained my sanity due to my expectations of a game crashing XD) I think why the community held out for so long was that fan projects (fanart, fanfiction, you name it) generally extend the relevance of the games they're based on.
There's also the fact that I feel quite torn from like two very different series on two different consoles, and my wallet can't reconcile the fact that I can't afford them both, so I went with the series I was more immersed in XD
As for dreams...
Aside from dreaming about high school-y fanfiction and attempting to story plan that way, I try not to dream about myself Or maybe it means I'm not really asleep...dun dun dun

Nice to see you again! Falcom (well, NIS) has ported Ys VIII to the Switch. I've been wondering if they could do the same to Trails of Cold Steel. There has been this general trend that while such ports don't attract Japanese players, many in the western regions see this as a chance to try these games out. There's this prception differences that Japanese players think Japanese-styled games should go to PlayStation, while there's an overlap between fans of such games and Nintendo fans in the west. This particular place is basically dead, and it's something I've accepted since long ago. I've also quit DA, since (1) DA isn't exactly active either, and (2) I started off as a Flash animator, but that is too time-consuming for me now, and I'm also not a fan of the direction Adobe Animate (what Flash has become) is taking; that is, as an animation and sprite sheet tool that compliments, instead of competing with, other tools like Unity. But I also don't see this place closing shop soon; if anything, it gives me a place to publish whatever I want. Oh, I do have one dream update… Kind of. MEIKO ranting about how people don't stand up for themselves enough. It's hard to argue with such an assertive person.

So there's this dream where I'm in a futuristic bar with an all-white appearance, where I walk up to a woman who seemsto be depressed and try to figure out what's happened. Turns out she was just getting really into the story she was reading, but she thanked me for speaking up, saying that her past, actually-depressed self would appreciate the gesture.
And then there's this other dream, where I got an update for Super Smash Bros. Ultimate and they added the Red shell item. Why did they not make it available in the newer games in the first place?

Here's another batch!
This one happened about two weeks ago. I was in a futuristic, all-white space with a bar (white tables, chairs and everything). Sitting there is a young woman who looks depressed. I went up andask what's happened, to which she replied she's fine, but appreciates my effort of asking, because she used to be actually depressed and someone else's similar nice gesture really helped. I wished her good luck and left.
This other dream happened today morning. I was visiting an old acquantance, who was running a furniture shop. Upon her collection is a movable staircase that can be unfolded into a table tennis table, but it's not sold thus far because no one has that large a space at home. Later on that night, she asked me to call one customer of hers to confirm delivery details on another item, and she said she couldn't call herself because the customer would have a housekeeper answer the phone, who speaks in heavily-accented English. I tried, but I had a hard time deciphering him.
This one also happened this morning. I was playing a Graduis-like shooting game on a friend's PSP. This game is a short demo with three stages, with the following controls: directional keys to move, circle to shoot, and R to launch bombs. There's also a hidden commands I didn't learn until later: launch a bomb during aboss battle at the center of the screen will launch an even more powerful attack that depletes most of the boss's HP. I used this trick to get to the third boss, but even with this I could not beat the third boss in the end.

I got two more! Story time!
The first one was from a week ago, and it's not pretty. I was an independent shopkeeper in a standalone, ground-level shop. One day, the inevitable happened, with a real estate tycoon about to take overmy shop and land. I asked for their terms for the take over, but they have a large legal squad who told me to be silent, saying that the only way to take back my land is to pay a hefty price.
And then the nightmare came: they started a smear campaign, saying how "that poor sap doesn't know how the real life works". It got snowballed quickly, and soon others among the upper class started bullying me, and their children even attacked me physically. At one point, I had enough of their antics, so I got my parachuting gear and ran up a tall cliff to jump off there. The children kept chasing me with their own parachutes, and after I jumped off, they took out their knife launchers in an attempt to break my parachute. Their plan backfired, as I had my own weapons; their parachues ended up being broken, and as a result they were killed.
Their parents sued me, but my defense of acting upon self-defense was accepted, and I was deemed innocent.
I actually killed people, even thougph it's an unfortunae side effect that's their own fault in the first place. But I actually felt good about it.
(I don't think there's any real-life events tied to this one.)
This one happened this morning. A relative of mine has given away his game consoles to my family, but now we have a problem of not having enough space to house them. Some of those consoles are repeats, so we started to think about who could we give them away to. In the same dream, we also have a laser-based detector to scan for intruders, but it's made of a single laser beam that oscillates so slowly that anyone can easily bypass it.
(In real life, this is just not going to happen. Said relative has already given away their old game systems, and they're going to keep their current ones as Blu-Ray players.)

New entry: A weird dream where I found that the controller ports portion of the GameCube is actually a box containing the actual GameCube hardware and embedded into the shell. This part can be removed at will, instantly creating a mini GameCube.
Other than that, most of my dreams are just reflections of my daily life, which isn't really worth discussing.

Weird dreams again. All in the same day, completely separate stories.
- I was walking with two people: a colleague at work and a newly met self-proclaimed snake expert. We were walking across a street that looks normal, but features flowerbeds infested with snakes. he snake expert was explaining about the snakes along the way, but one of them got provoked and chased after us. Unfortunately for us, the expert got bit, I panicked and called emergency service, but before they could arrive the expert was killed.
- I was told, via a second hand source, that management at work were dissatisfied with me and they wanted me gone. My immediate boss defended for me, but I was told by thesource that I really should be more careful, and perhaps consider leaving.
- An online friend and I were discussing about weird bugs in games like SuperMario 64 and Super Mario Odyssey (which aren't actually present; like the game freezing if a sar is collected while being on a moving platform), and we were astonished why weren't they fixed. As typical with my dreams, all levels are completely original, like they're from fan hacks.

0_0 I didn't expect you'd come back! I'm fine. My family and I just carry on as usual, with very few disruptions. I also went to visit Hokkaido before the virus outbreak got severe, and I'm glad I didn't have to waste my paid leave. I pretty much stopped posting here due to the inactivity, but everything is fine. Not much to say for life in general, since it's unremarkable (which I take as a good sign given the curent state); on the gaming side, I'm busy with the Atelier series, and I'm glad to see a new Project DIVA game. And I've yet to start the Fire Emblem: Three Houses DLC. Pretty busy on that front.

I wasn't expecting to come back myself, but I guess since this was the best way I thought I could contact you, I decided to message you here. I assume you would be more active elsewhere? Anyhow, I just wanted to check in. =p
It's good to hear that you're doing well, at any rate. Life-wise, I guess I'm chugging along. Meh.
Speaking of Atelier, I've definitely heard about it since I was interested in Mana Khemia and Ar Tonelico at one point. The crafting system looks fun, but I have no idea where I would start, haha. For FE3H, did you go through all the routes, or just select one(s)?

Just after I said there'd be no update, I've got a long, 11-hour sleep this Sunday morning and got a few surreal dreams. The first one involves the bathroom of my home. My family tried to spice things up, so we made its floor flooded with shallow water and put fish in it, like one of those fish pedicure restaurants. The problem is that it also has a few pet turtles trying to bite everything, so we had to separate them quickly. Everything eventually got abandoned and we went back to keeping fish the normal way. (Inspiration: my own past with various pets. It's all in the past, though.) The second one was avery short story taking place in a medieval fantasy setting, except that everyone is getting prepared for the current coronavirus and they acually had strict border checks. (Inspiration: me being in a half-asleep state mixing everything up.) The last one was a adventure game-style dream. I was in a large, indoor amusement park — think TOKYO JOYPOLIS, but the size of the hotel featured in Luigi's Mansion 3. The objective of the "game" is to solve each floor's mysteries involving various accidents, theft and even disappearance of guests, by switching between the amusement facility and an alternate world version of it, all while keeping the public-facing side of the park appear normal. Eventually, all 15 floors are cleared, revealing that the perpetrator is a vengeful ghost. Confronting and comforting the ghost will make it leave, ending the story. (Inspiration: Luigi's Mansion 3, Tokyo Mirage Sessions ♯FE, Atelier Lulua: The Scion of Arland)
I don't have much of a presence online, because while I use the web quite a lot, I'm usually a lurker. I can be conacted through Twitter, and I am also active in the forum of an old website called Nintendo Database, but said forum isn't very active itself. I also have a Skype account for instant messaging, and I have a YouTube channel that's rarely updated (and not a good way to contact me, since I mostly just use it to host videos). I've only played a few games in the Atelier series, and I probably won't get to the classic PS2 games anytime soon. I'm not sure where should a newcomer start, since every game I've played so far just throws in a binch of information that needs time to digest. I'd suggest start playing with a game that doesn't have a time (turn) limit, and from what I know Atelier Sophie is newcomer-friendly. I started with Atelier Lydie & Suelle, and Atelier Lulua is my favourite so far. See more in this post I made. I've only finished two routes in Fire Emblem: Three Houses, Azure Moon (Dimitri) and Crimson Flower (Edelgard). I was waiting for the DLC to come out first, to avoid having to play it again just for that one extra support conversation added. Now the DLC is out, I can go back to it again, but I'm also busy with other games. I currently have 26 games on Nintendo Switch: {Click to show} Ⓐ Atelier Rorona: The Alchemist of Arland DX Ⓑ Atelier Totori: The Adventurer of Arland DX Ⓒ Atelier Meruru: The Apprentice of Arland DX Ⓓ Atelier Ayesha: The Alchemist of Dusk DX Ⓔ Atelier Escha & Logy: Alchemists of the Dusk Sky DX Ⓕ Atelier Shallie: Alchemists of the Dusk Sea DX Ⓖ Atelier Lydie & Suelle: The Alchemists and the Mysterious Paintings Ⓗ Nelke and the Legendary Alchemists: Ateliers of the New World Ⓘ Atelier Lulua: The Scion of Arland Ⓙ Atelier Ryza: Ever Darkness & the Secret Hideout Ⓚ Fire Emblem Warriors Ⓛ Ys VIII: Lacrimosa of DANA Ⓜ The Liar Princess and the Blind Prince Ⓝ void tRrLM(); //Void Terrarium Ⓞ Trials Rising Ⓟ Mega Man 11 Ⓠ Puyo Puyo Tetris Ⓡ Hatsune Miku: Project DIVA Mega Mix Ⓢ Rune Factory 4 Special Ⓣ Kirby Star Allies Ⓤ Fire Emblem: Three Houses Ⓥ Super Smash Bros. Ultimate Ⓦ Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze Ⓧ Luigi's Mansion 3 Ⓨ Super Mario Odyssey Ⓩ Super Mario Party

I do have a PS4 for playing other Project DIVA games, but otherwise I do benefit from being able to take my games outside.

Hehe, the dream about spicing up the bathroom was rather interesting. I didn't know it was a thing. The Luigi's mansion one was rather amusing, since I got a chance to play a short demo of it, then in typical fashion with games I do not own, searched up the bosses and parts of walkthroughs on YT. I used to dream quite a bit about Trails of Cold Steel characters, maybe simply due to the fact that I am in the middle of writing a story on DA and I left it unfinished for a year and a half? Two years? One part of it that I remember was a long conversation between the two characters I am focusing on inside the room of an inn. The girl had just woken up from a heat spell (I think she fainted) and was surprised to see the guy looking out of the window at first. Unfortuntely, that dream was so long ago, I don't quite remember much of what happened other than the two sharing their worries about their field trip and not much else. (This is quite connected to the game's lore =p) ___________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ Ahh, Twitter, I see. I myself float on the GameFAQs board of Trails of Cold Steel and the Reddit section (though I honestly don't know why) and I was responsible for translating some names for the Vestaria Relationship Map on Vestaria Reddit as best as I could. Truth be told, it was a small way for me to practice my Japanese, which hasn't advanced much since I tried buying a book to learn by myself. I did try looking more into the Atelier games in the form of reviews and gameplay videos, since there is a Steam sale going on, but I am undecided for now. I was going to ask you how you felt about 3H in general, just from a curious standpoint. And your list of 26 games on Switch is really impressive =p In my case, here's what I own on Steam and PS4 (I think I finished 60% of what I own atm) {Spoiler} - Ys Chronicles 1 & 2 - Ys: Oath in Felghana - Ys: Ark of Naphistim - Ys: Origins - Zwei: The Arges Adventure - Zwei: The Ilvard Insurrection - Gurumin: A Monster Adventure - LoH: Trails in the Sky FC - LoH: Trails in the Sky SC - LoH: Trails in the Sky the 3rd - LoH: Trails of Cold Steel - LoH: Trails of Cold Steel 2 - LoH: Trails of Cold Steel 3 (PS4) - Sen no Kiseki 3 (PS4) - Sen no Kiseki 4: End of Saga (PS4) - Xanadu Next - Vestaria Saga: War of the Scions - Papers, Please - A Hat in Time - Cuphead - Tree of Savior - Ragnarok Online - Valkyria Chronicles 1 - Yooka Laylee (PS4) From ToS down, I don't intend to play any of those games at all XD There also happens to be a Steam sale for Atelier games...oh boy XD Since I don't take public transit anymore, I can't say the same for myself. I drive to work now =p Edit: My wallet is empty and I really should save up for Atelier Sophie if I really want to play it. So, I'd rather just forget about buying anything atm

Just got a nice, 11-hour nap.
I recently had dreams that relate to real life in some ways. There's this one where I quietly but firmly roast my local library staff for giving unclear insructions on return policy and still charged me for late return.
And last week, I had a dream where I went back to school, which is a rather common theme in my dreams. But instead of engaging in school activity, I was wondering why was I even there, given that I am way past graduation and I already have a job. A lot of my dreams have confusing mix between reality and imagined situations like this.

Here's another one!
It took place in a kind of modern fantasy setting. There are two parts; the first was simply that I saw the restaurant that can be seen from my window caught on fire, and I didn't notice until the heat go to me. The fire was put out soon though. The restaurant building actually has the ability to float in the air (but it did not at this time), and my home had a controller which submerges part of it underground and make any of the three floors the ground floor.
The second part was when I went out and waited for a bus to take an exam. At one point a giant vehicle carrying what appears to be a complex, 2-story-tall excavation machine in bright yellow came by, and two women were seen at the top of the machine shoving a fat, all-white cat off to the ground. I ran to the cat and check if it was alright, and it clinged onto me, not wanting to let go for a while.
Eventually, the bus came, the cat dropped off, and… it stood on its hind legs. It then walked into the bus ahead of me, somehow having its own contactless payment card and paid, while the driver looked in sheer astonishment. The cat went and took a seat somewhere behind mine.
A few stops later, a young girl about 10 years old took the seat next to me, newly vacanted. She noticed me looking at the cat's direction, and explained to me that that cat actually belonged to her family, and the woman throwing it off was probably the girl's single mother. She then explained that the cat has always been there, acting as a mediator between the family. A few stops later, she left the bus as she had a different destination as the cat, and the cat came and took her seat.
The cat then revealed that it could talk, and gave further explanation: it actually belonged to the woman's abusive ex-husband, who caused the woman's mental health issues, but the cat's work from behind the scenes eventually gave the woman a job (um, is it okay for someone this unstable to use heavy machinery?). The cat has no idea why does it have such abilities or an unusually long lifespan for a cat, but as a cat, it would still like you to give hugs and scrateches whenever it demands so.
I was so astonished at the whole thing. I ended up giving the cat my contact number, telling it if it needs help or aid I might give some assistance.

Dropping in these:
- Yet more of those involving me in a school setting. This has happened multiple times, and the context is usually that there is something I have yet to complete, and thus I had to stay in school for another year. Sometimes it's in secondary school, sometimes it's in a tertiary institution, and there are ones that have me went to work too early when I'd have needed to get a degree first. For the record, real-life me has a bachelor's and a master's degree, and I don't need any more!
- One that involes a terrorist attack. It's quite scary. The building I was in was under attack, and I was hiding in a bathroom (the home kind, bathtub and all) with a few other people. Took me a while to "convince" myself that this is a dream.
